fashTECH 2009 – Fashion, Technology and The Woman

In collaboration with the International Center for IT and Development (ICITD), Southern University (USA) and the University of Ghana Business School, Ewuraba, under the sponsorship of the PearlrRichards Foundation, organized the first ever fashion and technology workshop in Africa – fashTECH ’09. fashTECH is a forum which seeks to explore the interaction between fashion and technology in today’s information economy.

The keynote speakers were:

  • Irene Armah, Jewellery/Fashion Accessories Designer, INKA Accessories, Ghana, http://www.pluraleinka.com/

The key questions addressed were:

  1. What are the opportunities for fashion designers in both developing and developed countries?
  2. What the challenges in using the Internet and other forms of technology?
